Road Construction – CGBM/SRP

Cement Grouted Bituminous Mix (CGBM), also known as Semi-Rigid Pavement (SRP), is an alternative solution to overcome limitations caused by conventional pavements like Flexible (asphalt concrete) and Rigid (cement concrete) pavements. This new pavement technology presents a composite paving mix comprising of high void open-graded asphalt concrete impregnated with special cementitious topping grout.

CGBM has proven effective with a track record of over 50 years. It is widely implemented in Europe, the USA, and Asia Pacific (Australia, China, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, etc). CGBM is mainly used in the construction of roads, highways, bus

Typical Design of Cement Grouted Bituminous Mix

Specially Formulated Grouts for Cement Grouted Bituminous Mix (CGBM) / Semi-Rigid Pavement (SRP) applications:

ProSec 905

Ultra-high strength, polymer-modified cementitious topping grout (LTA approved)

ProSec 905E

High strength, polymer-modified cementitious topping grout. Economical Grade.

ProSec 905EC

High strength, polymer-modified grout concentrate.  Cost-Effective choice.

ProSec 905 meets the stringent requirements set out by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) and is
approved for use in Semi-Rigid Pavement construction.

ProSec 905, ProSec 905E and ProSec 905EC meet the criteria set out in India Road Congress (IRC)’s SP:125-
2019 [Guidelines For Cement Grouted Bituminous Mix Surfacing For Urban Roads].
